A historic midtown building from 1940, the former Weaver Tractor Showroom was renovated with a design that embraced the building’s original structure. The building serves as headquarters for local architectural and engineering firm, Lionakis, in Midtown Sacramento. The building’s seismic retrofit features original barrel vaults, 32-foot-high ceilings, exterior façade enhancements utilizing architectural metal siding, composite paneling, perforated metal paneling, wood and board form cast-in-place concrete. Class A office tenant improvements include modular glass walls, acoustic wall and ceiling treatments, high efficiency LED lighting, exposed mechanical, construction of two 2-story structures to mimic shipping containers. The building was converted to an all-electric facility with new electrical service to meet CALGreen requirements.
