A.P. Thomas Construction, Inc. partnered with the client to assist with design during this final phase of a senior living complex on a site that featured many heritage oak trees. The new 20,000 square foot building was added and connected to existing occupied buildings on a tightly confined site that required careful staging and work planning. Out of respect for the community’s residents, A.P. Thomas Construction, Inc. conducted regular town hall meetings to keep community members engaged and informed. The 2-story memory care facility features Class “A” finishes and the latest HVAC technology with Daikin Variable Volume Ratio (VVR®) compressor technology for comfort. In addition, the second-story construction utilized AcoustaMat™ and Gyp-Crete® floor underlayment to help minimize noise.
