A.P. Thomas Construction, Inc. constructed a 34,637 square foot private K-12 school on a 43-acre site. The facility included classrooms, gymnasium, science center, commercial kitchen, dining facility, administration offices, athletic field, and children’s play area. The project was a collaboration with award-winning Lake Flato Architects from San Antonio to create moving art level buildings, while staying within the client’s budget. The site work was challenging as the buildings were placed into the hillside, with many locations encountering rock and having to blast. The buildings feature radial glulam columns, 70-foot glulam beams and cedar siding.
